The wind I found surprisingly friendly
As it buffeted me, indifferent
To my return, but happy to include
Me in the general joshing, beneath
The grey blanket thrown across musing.
Indifferent too to the blank silence
Spread out between us, eating into us.
An eloquent poem with so much between the lines. I really like the way you’ve woven the friendly but indifferent wind into the silence in a relationship at the end. Very poignant.

Thank you. Do you know where these ideas come from? I don’t!

Sometimes it’s hard to say. Most of my own ideas are from real life and then my muse takes over. The creative process is full of surprises.(So much hidden away in our subconscious just waiting for us to weave it into…. something! 😉 )
